Happy Halloween!!!

Here are a few pics from our spooky day...

We all had alot of fun! Andy actually didn't have to work (hallelujah)! We took the kids around to Grandpa Wood's, Grandpa Earl and Connie's, Granny Myra's, Inga and Aaron's, Grandma D's and then out to Grandpa Ricky and Grandma Dixie's house!! What a trip! Then we ordered some pizzas, went and picked them up and went home to wait for our own trick-or-treaters. Some finally arrived and what proceeded was probably Wills most terrifying moment of his life as of yet... At the door there was a couple boys and they were all dressed in scary costumes and all had masks on. Will opened the door and started SCREAMING and BAWLING!!! He kept saying, " I WANT MY MOMMA!!!!" He was super scared! Poor guy! But right after they left and we got him calmed down, of course, he was acting all tough. I am getting myself prepared for a sleepless night, there is no question Will is going to have bad dreams tonight!

It looks like today is off to a great start! I sent the kids downstairs to play while I was eating breakfast and came down to witness this...

WHAT?!?! How did she do that?! Either Andy or I must have monkey genes!! Probably Andrew. Hehehe!!!!

Okay so here is MY accomplishment....
I actually hung some shelves!! I am empowered, I totally rock!! Just call me "handy".

So I need some feed back here, once I hung this shelf up I realized that I don't really LOVE the green wall anymore and I just want to paint it a really dark dark brown instead. What do you think? Keep the green or do the brown?

you are NEVER going to believe this...

So you know that contest I entered to win that quilt? ( if you don't know what I'm talking about see post below) I WON-ish. I didn't get the quilt (boo hoo) BUT I did end up in 3rd place!!! I don't know what kind of prize it'll be, but I am SO SUPER EXCITED and am dying to know. I have NEVER won anything in my entire life! Maybe the tables are turning, a new winning streak. busiest weekend ever?

This weekend kicked off with Josh and Shayla's wedding, it was so awesome, of course I have no pictures to post of them... Whenever I go to weddings I take a million pictures of everybody else and NEVER the bride and groom. Yeah. I'm an idiot. So above are 2 fine looking pictures of a future bride and groom, but as for now they are single (and lets keep it that way for a long time!!) Don't I have the cutest family? 

Here is just a shot of the windmills outside of Magrath I took this while we were passing through, on the way to the reception in Raymond.

Next big event was Thanksgiving dinner at Granny Myra's, I'd like to take a moment and give thanks to all of the brave turkeys who sacrifice themselves so that we can be gluttons.... Aubrey has been teething lately and having a really tough time. She is cranky, moody, sleepy, poopy, snotty and WAY TOO CUTE. The tryptophan must have kicked in for Aubba... Is this not one of the sweetest pictures you have seen EVER?!?!

The next event was a celebration but a different kind from the days prior. We attended Grandma Gerry's funeral at the Barnwell Church. It was lovely. Big cudo's to Dustin, Lacey, and Josh for some amazing talks. You guys were unbelievable, really! 

Grandma passed away early in the morning on October 11. She definitely endured to the end. I will miss Grandma alot. We both lived in Taber and I really loved to go and visit her and Grandpa at Clearview Lodge. The last time I saw Grandma Gerry was right after Shayla's wedding shower, I drove her home so that Dixie wouldn't have to drive all the way into Taber then back to Barnwell, I am so glad that I did. I helped her out of the car and walked her into the front doors, they were locked because we were out partying way to late! One of the workers came to open up for us and we just started talking for awhile, Grandma then introduced me to the worker. She said " THIS is MY grand-daughter Emily." Then she gave me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. It made me feel so good. What a great last memory. I never went and visited her in the hospital because I just wanted to remember her just like that. I am so grateful for the influence that Grandma was in my life, I'm excited for the day when I can see her again.

Well we are all still alive if anyone is worried!!! We have had quite the last few weeks. It's been happy,busy,devistating,spiritually uplifting, and super duper crazy! Jay & Stephanie's wedding was so nice, they got married on the 26th of September. I took this picture of Will outside of the temple that day, I wish he wasn't holding that comb, it would have been perfect!

We are really excited for tomorrow for it is Josh and Shayla's wedding!!! Also another exciting is that Andy can come! Which is a rare occurance these days. The last few weeks really have been nuts and I am glad that we get to go inside the temple tomorrow and just forget the world and feel the peace that exists inside the House of the Lord. Speaking of temples, In General Conference last week it was announced that Calgary is getting a Temple, so YEAH for all of you Calgarians! p.s. wasn't Conference GREAT? I watched EVERY single session on our computer. I seriously felt HUNGRY for conference, does that make sense? Anyways we are getting along just fine here. Keep tuning in, more posts to come!
