crazy weather and stirling days

We are having some weird weather lately, it seems like everynight a huge storm rolls in and causes destruction of some type or another. The day I took the above pictures of the clouds it was so nice, then all of a sudden BLACK outside. It got so windy and scary out, the power was out for 4 hours. I guess that out near Grassy Lake and Burdett there was a tornado that came through and ripped down some brand new grain silos and flipped a couple trailer trash homes right over! Yikes!! It was pretty scary!  But anyways, enough of that. I have decided that I LOVE STIRLING. I know it might sound pretty lame, but we spent Saturday there this weekend with Steve and Alida and I had so much fun! We went to the parade in the morning then had a bbq burger and played at the nice parks for a long, long time. We went back for naps at Steve and Lida's then we ate some more food, watched some UFC fights and then headed out for the family dance. This part of the night was hilarious, they blocked of a section of the street beside the outdoor pool and everyone danced like crazy. Will thought this was awesome, it was so funny to watch him and Gracie dance. Andy and I left before the fireworks started, but on our way out of town we saw them shooting up so we pulled into a little side road and watched from far back. It was so fun, I always get a little emosh when we can do special little things all together as a family, since it doesn't happen that often! Even if it was sitting on a dirt road watching fireworks from Stirling Days, it was such a nice little moment for our family. Anyways we'll be getting our fair share of parades and fireworks this summer because this weekend coming up is Barnwell Days. I hear it's going to be fun, and it probably will be!

our tiny trip

We've been having lots of fun lately!! We've been really busy with life and such. Inga and I just had a garage sale this weekend and  it went pretty stinking good! We good rid of a TON of old junk and new junk that we really didn't want anymore. Yesterday we decided to go up to Medicine Hat to the Leisure Centre since Andrew is on his longest set of days off this summer, so this was our only chance!! We had so much fun Will and Aubrey LOVED it!!! We stayed for about 3 hours I think. After swimming we went to Costco and I got the new joy of my life which is a Magic Bullet. Oh, the deliciousity... I can't wait to use that sucker. Whatelse have we been doing? Oh last week we went down to the river at the M.D. park and Will chucked rocks in there for like 2 hours straight. Oh yeah we are also getting rid of Will's Soothers, last night was the first time without one and he did great! I think this weaning is affecting Andy and I more then Will though. Last night we cut his soother in half and then Will threw it in the trash and went to bed, we both had teary eyes and felt stupid for crying over a "soo soo". This week we should also be hearing from the dentists' office where Will is having his tooth extractions. Lots to look forward to... Aubrey is CRAZY and never stops moving she is seriously going to walk soon, it'll be so funny to watch her itty bittyness walk, she's still so tiny!

happy canada day!!!

Today was so fun! Even though it was kind of crappy weather early in the day it turned out great. This morning we mostly just stayed indoors. I was going to take the kids to the park for some activities, but it started raining and it was their nap time. So we stayed home, and I got a much needed nap instead! Andrew had to work tonight so Will, Aubrey and I went to the fireworks, we just got home a couple minutes ago and I wanted to post our pictures from today before the date changed! We really did nothing all day, but going to the fireworks made Canada Day so special to us. Will loved them, he kept vocalizing this over and OVER again on the way home, " Mom, I LOVE fireworks." , "Mom, we will see the fireworks again, maybe tomorrow?", "Mom I really love fireworks, the big one is my favorite of ALL TIME!!!" Needless to say they did not dissapoint for Will. It was a special time for me to just be with Will, Aubrey was asleep in the car the whole time, so it was really nice to just have some one-on -one with Will, he is so funny. I also just want to say how grateful I am to live in such a beautiful country, I love Canada.

                                                         O Canada!
                                                         Our home and native land.
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
                                                         From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land, glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
