happy belated baby lady

I am probably the worst mom in history, I forgot my kids birthday. Yesterday I arrived at church and someone from our ward said, "Happy Birthday!!" Well I know that is wasn't mine, that was last week. So whose was it? AUBREY'S!!! I totally forgot, didn't even cross my mind yesterday morning as I was getting ready for church. Nice, right? Anyways here is a little ode to Aubrey...

10 things I Love About You
Aubrey Nena Blythe Evanson
1. You are a biter, chewer, grabber, and climber.
2. You LOVE the song 'Hampster Dance'.
3. You take care of your dolls, just like a real mom.
4. Beautiful BIG brown eyes.
5. I can tell that you love me.
6. Your hair does little flippies above your ears.
7. You give the best kisses.
8. You have a whole lot of personality bundled up in your tiny little self.
9. You will get into anything that is box like.
10. You are a Daddy's Girl.

What a blessing is it to have Aubrey in our life. I can tell that we were meant for eachother. We need her and she needs us. We love you Aubba on your birthday and eveyday in between.

not like any other day...

Today I started my day a little different then most... I made cupcakes!! Because..... IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!! I was actually getting all ready for the party that we threw for Aubrey today, I guess it was a collaboration of both of our birthdays. It was so much fun! We had lots of good food to eat. Mom made delicious pies, I love those pies. Here are some of the highlights of the party... it was a good time!!!!

you tell me

Okay, Is this weird or not? I just got Aubrey dressed then I put blush and lip gloss on her. What is my problem?! I once tried to paint Will's toenails then Andy wouldn't let me. I guess it's good I had a girl so I can torture her with cosmetics.  I have always just loved make-up, I'm sure that Inga and Erin can agree that I do, I always used to get into theirs. I remember before I was even allowed to wear it I would lick caragana leaves and stick them on my eyelids for eyeshadow. I don't know, I just did that to Aubrey then was like, "woah back-up lady, you are a weird mom." So I guess that I just need some justification, so comments please, any of you mothers that have put make up on your kid, girl or boy.

Anyways we have some good news and it is that we are adding to our family... NO not that!! We are getting a new car!! A Toyota Prius, I'm actually pretty excited, but I wanted it to be red and not silver but that is all they had. tear. So this is what it'll look like, watch out for me, I am a speed demon.
Well whatelse.... Oh this Saturday coming up is my birthday!! I'm turning 23, big whoopie. Not a very fun age, I am already legal everywhere (like that matters) and I'm not turning 25 which is sort of a big one. So I am inadvertently having a party for myself by disguising it as a party for Aubrey, her birthday is coming up on the 28th. So that should be fun to stuff our faces with dessert! I also just dyed my hair awhile ago, here I am...
Will also started gymnastics last week on Tuesday, I was planning on taking pictures of his first day but was concentrating on not puking. Will's class is a parent and kid class, and it is more of a workout for the parents than a gymnastics class for the kids. And I haven't exercised in like 2 years. Actually I forgot the camera, but it really is a tiny workout. Will did great his first day, he listens to his teacher so well and had lots of fun. It was great to see him do his thing. When I went the week before to sign him up, Will was so excited b/c it was in the community centre gymnasium, he asked, "Mom, you are signing me up for basketball?!?!" There was a Dad in front of us, with an awesome leatherette sleeves hockey jacket on and he said ," Nope your mom is signing you up for a fairy sport." Inga was there too we had a good laugh. Anyways I'll get some pictures up of Will "sticking it". Peace & Love.

lately...

Wow, sooooo....... 2 posts in one day, I am pretty awesome or pretty loser-ish to be doing this. I haven't posted for awhile so I'm going to now commence on filling you in on our lives from the past couple weeks or so...

Firstly, It was Mom's birthday on August 29th so Inga, Mom and I went out for supper at Ric's Grill in Lethbridge, it was fancy pantsy.

Then for August long weekend we travelled down to the good old USA (Greatfalls) for some shopping and family time. The family time being spent with ALL of Andy's brothers and sisters and their husbands, wives and kids. And Grandpa and Grandma too! It was lots of fun! YEAH Evansons'!!!

Then a few days after we got back Andrewski and I celebrated our 4th Anniversary, time flies. We celebrated by staying at home and having a delicious feast of extra cheesey mac and cheese. We are bringing "classy" back in a whole new way.

And now I think that's all, yesterday was Sunday so I went to church with Will and taught our class. Andrew and I teach the 12-13 year olds. They are way too quiet for their own good. Really, they don't talk. Then we took the kids to the Ken McDonald field for a little Sunday drive and to play at the park. We had fun, don't believe me? Judge for yourself...

This ones for Erin....

So I came across this website last night and have not stopped playing on it since, it's called yearbookyourself.com What you do is upload a picture of yourself to the site and it puts your face on different yearbook pictures ranging
from the year 1950 all the way to 2000. It's hilarious!!! The funniest part though was when I tried my face on the 80's picture and I was reminded of someone...

Then I put my face on the 1950's picture and was reminded of someone else.... Can you guess who?
