a 4 year old

March 28th 2006 - 9:48 pm. We met Will for the first time. I remember looking over, watching him being cleaned off and falling completely in love. My boy.

Will is seriously the best ever.

He's a great driver...

and an even better dancer.

But what we love most of all about him is his big toothless grin!
Will is one of my best friends, he's happy and helpful and so smart!
He can out eat a grown man at a breakfast table.
He loves to practice riding on his new bike.
He loves to color and can write his name and can write all of his letters.
His favorite drink is milk and vanilla squirt (Nesquik).
He loves to help, anything from sweeping, cooking or emptying the dishwasher. No task is too small, he'll do it!
He says things that make me laugh ... such as, "Old people are DISGUSTING."
He thinks Astroboy is the coolest movie around.
He sings.

See, I told you he's the best!!!

penny ray evanson

February 28 2010 - 7 lbs 4 oz - 20 1/8 inches - 9:06 am

We did it! Our baby is here! Our whole family is just so happy to have a itty bitty baby around the house. I don't really know what else to write other than we are doing great. Penny is healthy and strong and we're grateful for that. I am on the mend after my c-section and just got 'unstapled' today. We love our brand new shiny little Penny.

the harlem crowns and perfect timing.

We've had an interesting week to say the least! A team called the Harlem Crowns came to Taber (they're kind of like the Globetrotters, but not as high class???) Andy got asked to play against them on the Rebels Alumni team. It was so fun to watch Andy get razzed a little and get his bum pinched, pants pulled down, dunked on, etc. etc... a good night! Here's the best picture I took of Andy, anybody want to donate to the Evanson new camera fund? It's about time we upgrade. I hate every picture it takes, not the subjects just the quality, bruuuutal.

Aubrey had what you would call a 'bad day' yesterday! First she was over at my Dad and Dix's house and ran right into the corner of the fridge (that's the purple bump on the top right of her forhead in this picture) then later on that same day she was outside playing with Will and a bunch of our neighbor kids and they brought her to our door bawling and looking like this.

Now this is one part of being a mom that I love. I love blood, I know weird. I revel in it. If my kid gets hurt I love playing nurse, I should have been a nurse (maybe I still will one day), in a trauma room. That's how much I love blood. Anyways I cleaned her up and tried to get it to stop the best a could. I noticed though that the cut was quite large and that if I just put a bandaid on it, it'd become a pretty big scar. So I zipped her over to the clinic and they glued that baby shut. Hopefully she won't have that big of a mark. And if she does I guess it's just the first of many little scars and scratches she'll get in her life!

Feeling better earlier this morning! or maybe Aubrey is just so happy because of the fact that she's going to become a big sister in less then 24 hours!! We have to be at the hospital tomorrow morning bright and early and we get to FINALLY FINALLY meet the newest member of our family! EEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! I'm so excited!

steven segal lawman...

Today I uploaded our pictures from our camera onto the computer FINALLY! I found this one and just cracked up, it's Aubreys' first "official" slicked back ponytail and I was instantly reminded of a certain butt whooping, law enforcing, dojo master. Spitting image.

a month to go...

Holy SCHMOKES! That went by fast! I was just reminiscing today about how time has flown. It amazes me how giant you can become in a period of only 9 months. WOW. Anyways I am so not a preggo picture taker, I think I have maybe 1 or 2 of me when I'm expecting Will and Aubrey. I'm trying to document this one a little better. So here I am. Only going to get bigger... fun. We're all so excited around these parts to meet our new little bro. or sis. HA! I just noticed in the 2nd picture and the 4th picture I'm wearing the same shirt. It's a little tighter now! See you soon baby!

shma-lympic torch.

On Sunday we went to church, the Olympic torch was coming through Taber that day and for some reason I thought that we could go to all of church and then go participate in the festivities! BOY, was I wrong. We have church from 9am-12, I for some strange reason thought that everything started at 1:30. Not the case. I guess I can blame it on pregnancy brain?

So we pull up to the Community Center and the big stage that's set up is empty, the parking lot is pretty much empty, where is everyone? It was a bad day. I was so excited to see the torch and have Will and Aubrey take in this whole experience. There was still a few thing going on inside the Community Center, so at least Will and Aubba got to make their own gold medals, it'll be a good keepsake for them.

So as you can see in the first picture, I DID get to see the olympic torch, from the line up in the McDonald's drive-thru... After that I came home and cried. I guess I can blame that on pregnancy hormones? WHAT IS MY DEAL?!?!
