christmas mischief

Aubrey has been getting herself into quite the predicaments lately. A day hasn't passed yet where I haven't found her opening cupboards, climbing up, into, over, and under things. She is so fast and hard to keep up with, right after I get one mess cleaned she makes another and so on and so forth! (But that is why I love her!) Anyways below are a few of the feats she has accomplished as of late.

This last week we also decorated for Christmas around here! I love getting all decked out for Christmas, I always feel the spirirt of the season best while decorating the tree. Since Andy and I have been married we've had quite the assortment of creative trees... Our first Christmas together we had a brown paper cut out tree decorated and taped to the wall of our basement suite. 2nd year was one of those spidery plants with a string of lights wrapped around it. 3rd year was a mini tree in a pot from the Safeway floral department, again sporting the one string of lights that we had, and last year was finally a real tree, very lopsided and uneven, Charlie Brown-esque I guess you could say. This year we decided to go with a "fakie" a good investment I'd say. We got a fake tree this year for one purpose only really, and that is Aubrey would pull all of the needles off of a real tree. I used to swear I'd never have a fake tree, but now that Aubrey is around I've changed my mind.

We had such a good time decorating the tree as a family, Will thought it was pretty awesome, everytime he went up to hang a ball on the tree he had to ask me "Mom, is this where this goes?" I kept telling  him that they can go anywhere you want, he was so worried about it though, it had to be just perfect. He actually "gets" Christmas this year which is great. He'll flip when he sees his presents, we got him just what he asked for.

I love your tree - even if is a fakie - they're the best anyway. Tell Aubrey that Santa's elves are watching her!
