Photo Booth Willy

Will has found a new toy. He LOVES the Photo Booth Application on the Mac. Like I'm talking serious butterflies, starry-eyed, love notes, mooshy-gooshy love. He won't stop asking about it and has to go on it everyday for like 2 hours, it's like a drug. He just can't stop. I taught him how to go on it and take pictures of himself. He thinks he's so hot, which is true, I can't lie.

So this is totally random but I was watching the Oscars last Sunday and there was a part where Ben Stiller came out and did this act with a huge beard and acted all weird, everyone was laughing hysterically, I was lost. I had no clue what was so funny and I hate that! So I did some investigating and thanks to Andrew and his fountain of useless knowledge and spare time at work he found THIS and then it all made sense... I just wanted to let you all know, I hate being the only one who doesn't get a joke so now you can get it too!!! Also I just wanted to say that if you haven't seen Slumdog Millionaire the Winner for BEST PICTURE you should, it's in my top 3 movies of all time, along with PeeWee's Big Adventure and Little Giants...

back from a break

Well I decided to have a litte break from blogging so that I could focus on more important things like showering, brushing my teeth, you know personal hygiene... But now I'm back , so if you see me be prepared for a more stinky, plaquey Emily. We've been having a really good month, Valentines Day was really fun, we made cupcakes to give away to our friends for V-day and Aubrey found one on the table, she can scale things so fast. I went to brush my teeth (see I really am trying!) and she was up in the table in a flash! I walked out after I was done and  found her with chocolate all over her face, she saw me and said, "YUMMY!" I couldn't get mad, I just had to laugh and laugh and laugh.
Will and Aubrey have really started to bond. They are always playing, wrestling and laughing at eachother. Also fighting, punching and screaming bloody murder at eachother as well. But that just comes along with the territory of being a sibling I suppose. When Aubrey drinks her bottles now she snuggles up to Will and he rubs her head, it's so cute! I am always thinking about what they'll fight about in a few years from now, I'm sure there's going to be some epic battles.
Will got his hair cut at a place called Beaners on Valentines Day. It was so cool, they let him sit on a quad and he got his hairs chopped, he hasn't really gotten his hair cut officially in a long time.  Unless you count me shaving it off. The girl who cut it said she cut about 2 inches off the back, but on the top there was only about 1/4 of an inch. So, long in the back and short on top... technically I was letting my kid run around with a mullet! Awesome.

Picture Princess Contest

I have fallen in love with a website!! www.shabbyapple.com has THE cutest dresses for girls (and moms too)! They are having a model search and I think Aubrey Nena Blythe Evanson would be perfect! She's 14 months old and ageing! Getting cuter minute by minute, second by second. Aubrey is a spunky and sassy little munchkin who LOVES the camera (most of the time!!) Isn't she just the SWEETEST ?! She'd look even sweeter in this dress. Little girls and girls dresses from Shabby Baby.

I change my mind alot. I always have ideas, ideas, ideas floating around in my cranium. This is an example, if I change my mind about paint, I redo it, even if it's like 10 times, I'll paint 10 times until I love it. I think I'm finally satisfied? I have been waiting for a month for my dandelion decal to get to my house. I ordered it for my Christmas present, isn't is neat?! I got it today and I had to put it up 10 seconds after I opened the package. Now all I need is some colourful pillows to put on my couch and it'll be complete! Maybe, unless I decide I hate it next month...SOMEBODY STOP ME!!!

thinking of commiting suicide?

Then try these bad boys out. If you love peanut butter and want to go into a diabetic coma of goodness, then these are for you...these cannot be anymore fattening or worse for you then they already are. They are to die for!!!

Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies
1 cup shortening (told you they aren't good for you)
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Filling:
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
3 cups icing sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
5 to 6 Tbsp. milk

1) In a large bowl, cream the shortening, peanut butter and sugars. add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in another bowl then add to creamed mixture and mix well.

2) Shape into 1 inch ball (using a cookie scoop works well for this part) and place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten balls with a fork, I went horizontal then vertical to make a grid pattern on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes or until golden . Remove to wire racks to cool.

3) For filling, in a large bowl, beat the peanut butter, icing sugar, vanilla and enough milk to achieve a good spreading consistency. I used a piping bag to put the icing on one cookie and then smushed another one on, then you dont' have to spread it which sometimes breaks the cookie.

*You could also use your own pb cookie recipie instead of this one, if you think the one you've got is any healthier for you.

Yield: 2 dozen sandwich cookies.

everything

I've been a bad blogger lately, not a post in weeks, how unlike me. So here's a little update on the last couple of weeks. New Years we went to the Stake Family Party and danced the night away until 9 pm (LATE!!!) I forget my camera at home that night so zippo New Years pics. The first week of January we pretty much stuck around home,  It's so annoying bundling up the kids just to walk to get the mail. We turned into hermits and still kind of are until all of this snow goes away! I am starting to think that a mountain range is being formed right in our front yard. Collaboratively Andy and I (well mostly Andy) have shovelled up quite the mound of snow. Yesterday we ventured out to get Aubrey's ears pierced! We thought we'd regret it later, but we don't, it only made her 100 times cuter then she already is!!! She was really brave and only cried for about 20 seconds. I'd venture to say she's the cutest tiny lady in the whole world!
