Hoppy Easter Pinky Pinkerton

I've noticed Aubrey wears alot of PINK . I look through our pictures and find her wearing it more often then not. It's either wearing pink or nakey buns. Aubrey is so funny, she always has these things on her personage at all times... Her soo soo, shoes on, her silky blanket, and now her new thing is "eyes". She picked them out by herself and yes, if you're wondering, they are pink and sparkly. What a girly girl I have, I never would have imagined this and I love it! SO MUCH!

So onto Easter, the easter bunny came!! We left him a carrot on our stairs and he munched through that thing like a rabid hyena. He left lots of good treats and some bouncy eggs for the kids! Delish!

Here is some suprising news... WE ARE ALL SICK! Suprised? You shoudn't be. The "S" word seems as though it's becoming a permanent part of my vocab. First Aubrey, then Andrew (he just found out a couple days ago he has bronchitis), then me and finally Will. We made a family visit to our favorite place lately, it's called Taber Hospital ( yeah very fancy) and were all given a round of a delectable easter treat called antibiotics. When we walked in Will said, "Where's our room?" So I guess you could say we are frequents. It's been like this forever, we just can't get better. But when we do I am pledging to stay away from the hospital for as long as I possibly and humanly can! Being sick sucks. They always say that you can look back on your trials and pick out ways that you've been blessed through them. I am looking back.... I don't see any.... wait... I guess it's a blessing that Andy has good coverage for his health plan and we get all of this medicine we've been ingesting for free... that's all I can think of for now. Wish us luck!! Love the Sickies.

you've had a birthday (party) shout HOORAY!!!

Yesterday we had a little party for Will, his REAL birthday is officially tomorrow, March 28th.

As per usual the day starts off real good...

and ends in this,

and this,

and this.

It was a rough day for the little dude. It was a rough day for everyone's ears at the party. Poor guy. So tomorrow Will is 3 years old! I can't believe that I have a 3 year old. Here are some things that I LOVE about Will...
  • Every morning the second he wakes up he asks for breakfast.
  • Will "imagines". He can keep himself busy all day long.
  • He thinks that when Andy goes to work, he is going to work out at the gym, that's all he thinks Andrew does, work out.
  • Will is a really good big brother, like really good. Such a kind little heart.
  • Will thinks that there really is a "potty train".... choo choo
  • He says his own prayers at night, and it's the cutest thing ever.
  • He's a snuggler.
  • Will calls his toothbrush a "zizzer".
We just love Will so much, we're so glad that he's our man. I couldn't imagine my life without him. WILL ROCKS!!!

the sickling.

We've had quite the weekend.

It started out great. Andy took me on a date on Friday Night we went to dinner and a movie and got Grandma and Grandpa Evanson to watch the kids. On the way home just as we were about to turn onto our road, Aubrey threw up, actually the correct word would be "sprinklered" in our car. There was puke EVERYWHERE. She was soaked, her car seat soaked. everything. soaked. stinky. gross.
All Friday night she woke up every hour on the hour, throwing up, heaving, gaging. We decided in the morning to take her to the ER. She couldn't keep anything down, it was so sad. So I took her in and they weighed her (9kg) gave her a Gravol suppository and some Pedialyte and sent us home. Finally some relief. Aubrey slept for a long time and we thought she was on the mend. In the middle of the night she woke up, we gave her a drink of pedialyte and she puked it up all over. We gave her another suppository and that seemed to work. PHEWF. So Sunday morning rolled around. Andy planned to stay home with Aubrey and I was going to take Will to church and teach my lesson.

We were eating breakfast and again, another time Aubrey threw up, change of plans. Andy took Aubrey into the ER and I still was going to go and teach my lesson and take Will to church. So we got ready. Then Andy called, they weighed Aubrey and she weighed 7.9 kg, that's 2 pounds, she lost 2 pounds in one night, which is alot when you're only 19 pounds to begin with! She was drying up, so dehydrated from all of the barfing and not being able to eat. So they decided to admit her and give her an IV. Change of plans again. So how was I supposed to get to the hospital in time to be with Aubrey? Who would teach my lesson? Where could I take Will?
I got on the phone, I knew most everybody that could take Will were most likely at church, I called my mom, not home, at church. I called some friends, they were going to family thing an hour and a half away, other friends had sick kids so he couldn't go over there. stress. building.
I decided to ditch my plan for Will and focus on who could teach my lesson. I called the Sunday School President in our ward, Brother Keith Francis. The second he came on the phone I was done, I burst into tears and could barely talk. embarrassing. He told me to forget about the lesson and that he'd go to the hospital and help give Aubrey a blessing.

I finally decided instead of trying to get a hold of my mom, I'd just take Will to her ward. She's in the nursery so that would just work out perfect. I headed over to her building with Will, and took him to the nursery. Mom isn't there. I went up the Relief Society Room. Mom isn't there. WHAT?! Where could she be? I tried the phone in the hallway, called her house, she picks up. I told her what was happening and she said that she felt she needed to go home from church, which was weird, but she went home anyways. So I hurried to drop Will off at her house and raced to the Hospital. I walked in and Andy was holding Aubrey in the Trauma Room in the ER. She saw me and started crying and so did I. Brother Francis was in the room and got there just before I did. I held Aubrey. Andy and Brother Francis annointed her head and gave her a blessing, it was beautiful. peace.
Aubrey stayed in the hospital for 2 nights and is now home. They put us in the Palliative Care Room and it was great. It was like having our own private suite in the hospital. We appreciate the work of the doctors and nurses that helped our little lady. We also appreciate Brother Francis and his service to us. We also appreciate the Priesthood in our lives and how it can make a hospital room feel like a sacred place.

Photo Booth Willy

Will has found a new toy. He LOVES the Photo Booth Application on the Mac. Like I'm talking serious butterflies, starry-eyed, love notes, mooshy-gooshy love. He won't stop asking about it and has to go on it everyday for like 2 hours, it's like a drug. He just can't stop. I taught him how to go on it and take pictures of himself. He thinks he's so hot, which is true, I can't lie.

So this is totally random but I was watching the Oscars last Sunday and there was a part where Ben Stiller came out and did this act with a huge beard and acted all weird, everyone was laughing hysterically, I was lost. I had no clue what was so funny and I hate that! So I did some investigating and thanks to Andrew and his fountain of useless knowledge and spare time at work he found THIS and then it all made sense... I just wanted to let you all know, I hate being the only one who doesn't get a joke so now you can get it too!!! Also I just wanted to say that if you haven't seen Slumdog Millionaire the Winner for BEST PICTURE you should, it's in my top 3 movies of all time, along with PeeWee's Big Adventure and Little Giants...

back from a break

Well I decided to have a litte break from blogging so that I could focus on more important things like showering, brushing my teeth, you know personal hygiene... But now I'm back , so if you see me be prepared for a more stinky, plaquey Emily. We've been having a really good month, Valentines Day was really fun, we made cupcakes to give away to our friends for V-day and Aubrey found one on the table, she can scale things so fast. I went to brush my teeth (see I really am trying!) and she was up in the table in a flash! I walked out after I was done and  found her with chocolate all over her face, she saw me and said, "YUMMY!" I couldn't get mad, I just had to laugh and laugh and laugh.
Will and Aubrey have really started to bond. They are always playing, wrestling and laughing at eachother. Also fighting, punching and screaming bloody murder at eachother as well. But that just comes along with the territory of being a sibling I suppose. When Aubrey drinks her bottles now she snuggles up to Will and he rubs her head, it's so cute! I am always thinking about what they'll fight about in a few years from now, I'm sure there's going to be some epic battles.
Will got his hair cut at a place called Beaners on Valentines Day. It was so cool, they let him sit on a quad and he got his hairs chopped, he hasn't really gotten his hair cut officially in a long time.  Unless you count me shaving it off. The girl who cut it said she cut about 2 inches off the back, but on the top there was only about 1/4 of an inch. So, long in the back and short on top... technically I was letting my kid run around with a mullet! Awesome.
